PLA is not great under compression over time. This is an open mold for forming a metal putty (J.B.Weld etc.) or Epoxy puck for use in the Luke Hatfield mod in Creality Ender printers. IMPORTANT :) Some kind of mold release is essential, I used Petroleum jelly (Vaseline). I also attached two M3 metal washers, one either end. I've thrown in my SuperSlicer config bundle for an Ender 3 V2 if you fancy trying that out. Wear you some gloves ;) Epoxy is nasty. OK so all you need to do is press the inner into the outer on a flat surface, apply mold release, press your chosen goop in to the remaining space and let it cure (5-10 mins). I used a fine file to flatten the top before pressing the inner part up and out of the mold. Lining up the PTFE tube, puck and fittings with a 2mm rod is also helpful. I'm going to say it again: Wear gloves when using epoxy.
