The parametric model of metal roof support lock joint for mining was created. The model geometry is contained in the data table. Each row of the data table corresponds to roof support standard size. The geometry changes automatically when the record number in the data table is changed. The simulation was performed using finite element method. Roof support standard sizes 22, 27 and 33 were investigated. The condition for contact of support elements was defined in order to improve the lock joint.
