Metallic 3D printing

Metallic 3D printing

This is a technique you can use to create metallic parts using your 3D printer. It’s really simple. Instead of printing your figure, create a mold of the figure using ABS (ABS can be easily removed using acetone). Then melt some lower temperature alloy (usually a lead alloy with lower melting point than ABS) and fill the mold. Finally remove the ABS using acetone. This can take some time, but you will have a metallic part instead of a plastic one.
