Metropolis Robot (Maria)

This is another classic robot, named Maria, from the 1927 science fiction movie "Metropolis". It is printed in 3 sections using PLA on a MakerBot Replicator 2. I've taken a fair amount of poetic license on the details, but I think it captures the essence of the original design (see movie promo photo). This is still a work in progress as I want to add some props to go with her. Instructions This model is refreshingly easy to make. No scale or orientation changes need be applied. High resolution is recommended and was used to print the model in the photos. Rafts are recommended for each piece but supports are only needed for the head piece. After printing, you assemble with glue, prime and paint!
