<p>One of my friends wants a 1:1 scale model of a german Bundeswehr MG3.<br/> I found a model in the Sketchup 3D warehouse from mandun, cut it into printable pieces, added a pin for better assembly and tweaked it here and there to get it "manifold".<br/> <a href="https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model/e997aaa3d3283daa593fee7ac9114e04/Bundeswehr-MG3">https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model/e997aaa3d3283daa593fee7ac9114e04/Bundeswehr-MG3</a><br/> Orientation of part 7,8,9 is not correct in stl.The montage pin has to be on top.<br/> For part 11 I added supports manual on the outside of the fins only (rest was done by bridging).<br/> Otherwise it'll be tricky to get the support out.<br/> This is only a decorative thing.<br/> No functional or moving parts.</p> <p>UPDATE 2018-08-06:<br/> corrupt stl file mg3-7.stl was reported in comments.<br/> I uploaded a repaired version.</p> <h3> Print Settings</h3> <p><strong>Printer:</strong></p> <p>Geeetech G2S pro</p> <p><p class="detail-setting rafts"><strong>Rafts: </strong> <div><p>No</p></div><strong>Supports:</strong></p> <p>Yes</p> <p><p class="detail-setting resolution"><strong>Resolution: </strong> <div><p>0.3</p></div><strong>Infill:</strong></p> <p>10%</p> <h3> Post-Printing</h3> <p>I used part 19 to connect part 1 and 2.<br/> Glue parts together, UHU Allplast does a good job on PLA.</p> </p></p> Category: Other
