Monoprice Ultimate / Wanhao D6 Spool Holder, Top-Mounted

This spool holder is designed for a for a Monoprice Maker Ultimate but should also work for the Wanhao Duplicator 6. One part file is the support base structure that clips onto the top of the printer and the other part file is the actual spool holder that needs a quantity of (4) to be printed and is based on the following clever design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2047554 You'll need (4) 608 bearings that'll be pressed fit into the spool holder. I got a 16-pack at a large online retailer for $10. I previously designed a more compact spool holder that mounts to the side and requires no bearings (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2885424), but this newer design will be my primary setup since there's less friction to pull out the filament. ** Update 10-28-2018 ** Added "Option2" that inverts the groove on the Spool Holder and Support Base, locking the two together and preventing the spool holders from tipping over. This is the version I'm currently using. ** Update 08-10-2019 ** Removed older versions to leave only recommended parts to use. Added SpoolSupportBase_v3 that pushes the spool away from the printer by another inch. Added Guide and GuidePost to keep filament from jumping off spool.
