MGU-H stands for motor generator unit heat. The device is used to enhance the power of a F1 car.How it works:- The unit consists of 2 parts1. Turbo charger ( Turbo Charger )2. GeneratorNow this is how turbo charger works-The turbine is driven by the engine exhaust gas, which enters via the gas inlet casing. The gas expands through a nozzle ring where the pressure energy of the gas is converted to kinetic energy. This high velocity gas is directed onto the turbine blades where it drives the turbine wheel, and thus the compressor at high speeds.Now behind the tubo charger, generator unit is attached and the shaft from the compressor is connected with the rotor shaft of the generator.And when the generator unit runs it produces energy which is stored in batteries or the ES(energy store).
