This trap design catches a single mouse but what is unique is that its able to catch multiple mice as well. No moving parts. Easy assembly. No reactivation needed. Durable. Print Settings Printer Brand: Robo 3D Printer: R1 ABS + PLA Model Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 40% Notes: Print as large als possible. Scale to the maximum capabilities of your printer. Print feeder in 0.1mm. Lid and bottom in 0.2mm use at least 5 perimeters and 5 top layers in your slicer settings, to prevent the feeder from leaking water. Estimated print time: 10+10+6=26 hrs. Post-Printing Assemly Buy cheap mesh wire for rabbits or garden. Reduce raster size by x and y shifting multiple layers of mesh wire. Maximum raster opening must be smaller than 6 mm or 1/4 inch. Plan for a ratio of 1,4 x the diameter of the lid as hight for the trap assembly. Cut wire to hight and length with some overlap and use garden iron wire to make a sturdy cylinder that tightly wraps around lid and bottom plates. Fix lid and bottom to wire mesh using hot glue, filler glue or some kind of kit. Using water, test the feeder on leaks, when leaking, use aluminium foil (tin foil) to retain the water in feeder. How I Designed This FreeCAD design I inspired this design on well known wasp traps. I modified it for mice. The rodent can get in, but can not get out. The trap is spacious and includes a feeder, with two separated segments for water and food (e.g. seeds). This makes it suitable to be operational all year. It is friendly for its captives. The food and water capacity of the integrated feeder is enough for a week. With the integrated feeder, the trap can stay operational while out for the weekend or when away on short holiday. Using FreeCAD I designed it to be printable without support, and introduced fillets to make it comfortable to handle and easy to clean.
