Michelson Interferometer, folded path

Michelson Interferometer, folded path

thingiverse

This was needed to reduce the complexity of a MI used in an experiment. This print reduces the need for mounts, mirrors and table space because of the folded path layout. It can be easily aligned and has an adjustable path length difference for, in principle, seeing 100MHz-ish changes in frequency of a source (like a very poor cavity) and for loading the adjustable arm with a sample. Print, clean print (for planarity of mirror pads), crazy glue the 2 front-surface mirrors and a glass coverslip as a beam splitter and it is ready for service with one external mirror. Pictures are a typical interferogram and a graph of fringes (due to frequency changes) of a diode laser under current ramp.
