Micro Adjustable Z End Stop

Micro Adjustable Z End Stop

thingiverse

This is based on my Micro Adjustable Bare Wire Z End Stop, which allows for very precise Z positioning. This variation still supports bare wires, but in the photo you can see I've just superglued a mechanical switch onto the side of it. It snaps onto the smooth rod and tightens into place with an M3 set screw (and trapped nut). The adjustment hardware is hidden by the knob. Instructions Print the parts and use a drill to clean up the holes to 3mm. Melt a nut into the base of the knob, and another nut into the trap that allows it to be fastened to the smooth rod. Melt and glue an M3 screw through the top of the switch holder, then add a spring, and put it through the mounting bracket. Screw the knob into the bottom where the screw is exposed. In the photo I use an M3 set screw to hold the piece in place, but it snaps on pretty tightly even without it.
