Micro centrifugal air blower for 6mm pager motor

Micro centrifugal air blower for 6mm pager motor

I designed this micro air blower to work with a small smoke generator for a model boat I am making. It uses a 6mm pager motor and I was very pleased with the amount of air it moves so I thought I would share it. NOTE - Please separate the STL file in your slicing software as the parts are not aligned in the same Z axis - this was due to poor drawing convention on my part and Sketchup. I printed mine at 0.1mm layer height using PLA and hot glued the parts together. You may need to clean up the edges of the holes to get the pager motor to fit (depending on your printer). The impeller blade is just friction fit on my motor, but again you may need to fettle or use a dab of glue on yours. Video of it running on a 1.5V AA cell. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xy96SYL3TA0 Print Settings Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: Prusa Clone Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1mm Infill: 25% Post-Printing Just clean up the edges and glue together using hot glue.
