Micro Focuser for Lenses

thingiverse

This is a remake from the original idea of honk3d https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2422447 with a couple of enhancements; 1. Focusing can be done on one knob instead of two push pull knobs. This is achieved by a spring by keeping one side pushed against the opposite knob. 2. The two rings are locked together (can can rotate freely) using 4 20mm M3 bolts and washer. Rings are locked together because of the spring mechanism which requires both rings to be aligned to keep the spring in place. 3. Knobs are modified to accommodate M3 bolts. Knobs are from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2418824 4. Knob bolts are 45mm M3 hex bolts 5. The spring came from a 3d printer spare part (Z axis Lead screw locking spring) 6. Focusing is achieved via a 2-step process. Rough focusing is done by loosening the Focus Ring locking knob, rotating the focus ring until rough focus, then relocking the focus ring knob. Micro focusing is done performed by rotating the Push Pull micro focus knob opposite the spring * Note : the 123D file is also included for possible modification with other lenses. Current config is for a focus ring with diameter of 78mm and lens body of 84mm
