I have been prowling the internet for TINY quick links for my rockets. the normal smallest is 3.5mm and its just too large and way to heavy for a typical 3" rocket. I did find some 2mm quick links but its a Japanese specialty item and almost $5 EACH ouch. plus shipping. on a hunch and lark I checked to see if their was a STL file of quick link. How strong could it be? I printed it. I CAN NOT BREAK IT with my own strength. (pulling end to end twisting would probably kill it but your never going to have a twist action in a rocket recovery system so that does not matter) I could not believe it. amazing SO into tinkercard just how small can I make it? very very small. HALF the size smaller even than the 2mm one (but thicker obviously) and it works. I still can't break it. I kept the threads the normal sized and just made the “rest” of the hoop smaller. also shaved down the closure. got it under 5 grams and its easily 10 times stronger than I need to hang the laundry from a rocket. even a fiesty ejection charge won't break this. Print them separately or sequentially unless your retraction is really dialed in. I printed these with a 0.6mm nozzle at 0.2mm layers 20% infill 2 walls. I am also going to try with a 0.4mm nozzle w3 walls 25 or 30% infill. I am betting they will be equally as strong.
