Micro Liquid Dispenser

thingiverse

Uses 10ml oil dropper bottles (blunt needle type) available from DealExtreme or at focalecig.com or alienvapor.com Allows one-handed dispensing of liquids a drop at a time. Press the round plate to dispense. Press harder for more drops. Great for dispensing alcohol onto swabs or swatches for cleaning small items. A time-saver for polishing gemstones when each facet must be cleaned for inspection during the polishing process. Created with FreeCAD. Example printed in PLA on an Orion Delta printer. Instructions If printed in PLA, parts can be glued together with gel superglue or Plastruct Weld. The long pusher arm has a nub on one side that presses against the bottle. The round pusher plate should be glued to that same side of the pusher arm. You might want to use a file in-between the two cylindrical posts on the base plate, to smooth them somewhat so that the pusher arm will slide against them easily. The bottle is inserted from the top, through the large ring, then through the small ring. Use foam tape to attach the dispenser to a vertical surface. A few drops will leak out when bottle is first inverted and inserted into the dispenser, but air pressure will soon stop that. The occasional drip can be caught by placing your small bowl of swabs/swatches just below the dispenser. Update 3/26/2018: Added the file Dispenser3Part.stl which combines the base plate and the ring parts into one, requiring less assembly. Try this file first, and only use the Dispenser.stl file if the split rings don't print well for you.
