UPDATED! Im sorry but, I forgot some important things. I always try to document everything for correctness. Now, I believe that I have included all necessary files and infos. A micro scale axial flux wind turbine. Need to print 3 blades. They are a very tight fit, but they do work together. I used a 8 mm 3d printer shaft rod for the axle. And KFL08 Bearings at the both sides. M3 screws, washers and nuts to hold the blades to the prop rotor. This is a single phase axial flux alternator that is 8 pole 8 coil coreless yokeless concentrated winding alternator. I included some smaller rings to use as Air gap adjusters. The magnet wire is 30 AWG, but feel free to use thicker, just try to aim for a minimum of 150 turns in the coils. The magnets I used were hard drive magnets. The performance was OKish but, can be better with N52 Triangle magnets. Print TWO magnet rotors Print TWO Nacelle parts Print THREE blades Make coils half as thick as the magnets are. I have forgotten to include the bobbins, but now they are included. I used a mini screw driver to hold them together and held by a cordless drill to wind the coils. Be very careful to count the turns. I just wound the coils until the wires were in line with the edge of the bobbin. ANd than a dab or two of gorilla glue to secure it. Stator construction - after all 8 spaces are filled with wire, they MUST be wired up in SERIES. THis means that after winding, the START wire is the one that is on the INSIDE of the coil, The END is the outside of the coil. Insert all coils facing the same way, the START on the left. End on the Right. TO connect the coils, the end gets connected to the end of the next coil. THan the start gets connected to the start of the next coil and so forth to the end. The two lines left over are the "HOT" lines to connect to a SINGLE PHASE FULL WAVE RECTIFIER circuit. Which is very simple and easy to build. I used 1N4007 diodes. A tail fin still needs to be installed, but ill leave that up to you! GL and have fun learning! UPDATE!! very important, I forgot to add, that to increase power, install magnet steel or iron blackplates to the backside of the magnet rotors!. It can increase output as much as 10X.
