Micro Snowflakes - from the Snowflake Machine
youmagine
These tiny snowflakes measure 15mm across and were crafted using my Snowflake Machine at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1159436. The designs are optimized for printing on an Ultimaker 2 with ABS plastic and a .25mm nozzle attachment, specifically the Olsson block, set to "Ulti quality" with a layer height of 0.04mm. If you're looking for small snowflakes that have been thoroughly tested and are ready to print, then try these models out. However, creating your own snowflake designs can be a fun and rewarding experience, so feel free to experiment at the Snowflake machine link above! To produce 15mm snowflakes, simply set the "Target Diameter" to 15 in the "Global Size Settings". For this size, it's recommended that you reduce the number of printing steps to 4-5 and keep the thickness of the strands low by adjusting the values for "fat" and "organic" downwards. You may also need to limit the parameters for "fuzzy" and "full" in order to achieve the desired results. The Olsson block is a specialized attachment that plays a crucial role in printing high-quality designs on an Ultimaker 2 with ABS plastic.
