Micromake blower-fan-duct and effector

EDIT APR-3-16: I added a revision of the duct because I felt that the flow of mk1 was not good enough and also because I sometimes print ABS with no fan but that made my duct melt :) the new model has better flow and should be printed with support. I had originally designed a duct for a 40mm fan but discovered that my PLA prints were looking nice only on one side because the other wasn't being cooled effectively. I had a blower fan in the draw that I purchased from aurarum.com, which had a 12.5mm x 17mm opening and fit nicely above my effector so I set about making a mod. I push-fit my blower fan onto the new effector duct and it sits nice and tight with no leaks or wobbles. I then printed the duct out of ABS because it's next to the hot end. It's a good fit and blows a lot of air down on the bed below the tip from all sides now my parts look good from all angles! Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Kossel Mini Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 25% Notes: You will need to add support to the duct because the inside walls wouldn't otherwise print. I might make a change to this but I like how it operates now. I printed my effector out of PLA but you can do either ABS or PLA.
