Microphone for Acer Windows Mixed Reality headset (and other WMR headsets with rigid headband loop of 25 mm x 2.2 mm). I used this cable: https://www.amazon.com/PoP-voice-Microphone-Headphone-Extension/dp/B0787Y9ZRP/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1551120584&sr=8-3&keywords=3.5+mm+audio+cable+with+microphone+pop This is the microphone I purchased (slow delivery!): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LPN89YY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This is an addition based on the fantastic design by milosp. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2982060 You will need to download the caps to attach it.
Horizontal Setup
You can download the clamp from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2982060 Just print the horizontal adapter and push the end of the 3.5 mm plug into it. It will snap in to place and stay secure.
Vertical Setup
Use the locking clamp to lock the cable in place by spinning it after connecting.
Wiring
You can follow the guide by Milosp to add headphones. Just use the remaining internal cable to run the microphone. For the cable i used White: Right Red: Left Black: Mic I ended up having to run the white line from the female end o the jack into the black line (going to the headset) to get the microphone to work so test before you install everything.
