A pop screen/spit guard for a microphone. Simple design. Quick to print. You supply the screening fabric. spit-catch.stl is both halves, Part1 and Part2 are the two parts split because they didn't both fit on my printer's bed. It's not perfect, but it works and it took me longer to write this post than the .scad file, and that's one of the things 3d printing is all about, isn't it? Instructions Firstly, I designed this for what I had on hand. Obviously I still need to run to the store and get hardware to finish this. It is a two piece print with registration divots to hold the fabric between and bolt holes to hold the pieces together. I didn't actually design with a bolt size in mind, so find something that will fit at your hardware store. Currently, I'm using binder clips to hold it together, a piece of scrap MDF to hold it to my mic stand, and a piece of facial tissue as fabric. It works well, actually. For the fabric, you will want something thin, but probably more substantial than tulle. At least, I did. Specifically, I was looking to block my exhalations of breath from sounding on the mic. But you don't want to go too thick either, because then you're muffling the sound. Solidoodle 2 2 shells .3mm layers 20% infill.
