Microscope slide Cobb - coverslip holder

Microscope slide Cobb - coverslip holder

thingiverse

Microscope slide holders to mount specimen directly on coverslips (no slide) Can be advantageous for some techniques like darkfield, 4Pi microscopy etc. Similar to the "Cobb slide", made with aluminium sheet (one of those Cobb is in the photos, made from an aluminium can material; courtesy of mr. Cobb and mr. Chas) It is in Openscad and is customizable. Two design types: one "Flush", the coverslip sits flush. It should better glued to the holder. the other is "rail and clip", the coverslip can be inserted and stays there. Print direction is as native, as shown. If you have coverslips of different size, can also use the Thingiverse "Open in customizer", it takes a while but after a while it works. Loaded also the ready 3D .stl for some common coverslip sizes: round 20mm round 20mm with 0.6mm depth, to mount two coverslips with specimen in the middle square 20mm Maybe more models and photos coming
