Microswitch Filament Runout Sensor (small)
thingiverse
I liked the simplicity of this filament runout sensor housing, so I remixed it to fit a smaller switch that I had on hand. As with the original, this fits 1.75mm filament and the halves are secured with 3x M2x12mm bolts and nuts (or M2x16mm if paired with my filament roller guide). To prevent the filament from wearing a groove into the entry/exit holes, I glued a small bit of PTFE tubing on each side, and beveled out the tube centers with a round file to make feeding the filament easier. Optionally mounts to filament roller guide: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5388323 --- Microswitch: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073TYWX86?ie=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=christinerich-20&linkId=7807b4b4f0cb731d10f37738361793c9&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl M2 Bolts and Nuts: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073TYWX86?ie=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=christinerich-20&linkId=7807b4b4f0cb731d10f37738361793c9&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl PTFE Tubing: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073TYWX86?ie=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=christinerich-20&linkId=7807b4b4f0cb731d10f37738361793c9&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl
