Updated 3/5/23 - I increased robustness of the hinges and added ability to change the angle of the extruded aluminum version by 1 degree increments up to roughly 7 degrees. I needed a mid-power model rocketry launch pad and happened to have a Lowes/Craftsman tripod base PN 1107082 found here: https://www.lowes.com/pd/CRAFTSMAN-72-04-in-to-72-04-in-Plastic-Work-Light-Stands/1000655903. So I proceeded to model up and 3D print the parts shared here to make both a 1/4" rod and 1010 extruded aluminum compatible launch pads. The quick pin assembly allows you to both quickly convert between the two as well as being able to lower the extruded aluminum rail horizontally to assist in the loading of the model rocket. All parts were printed from PLA+. Most purchased parts were sourced through Amazon. I highly recommend you place small sand bags on the end of the tripod legs to further stabilize the launch pad. And of course, use at your own risk. Note: The drawings appear fuzzy when viewing online but are crystal clear after downloading.
