Furthermore, curling off the platform is great for this pose as it lifts the stray strands of hair up, so her hair doesn't fall flat. I'm rather particular about cleanliness, so I could never endorse such a hairstyle, but there are times like these when it's handy to have support pillars growing out of the back of your head. Renders were taken of a later frame, when I had let the hair fly up and start falling down.
