Wanted to upgrade to a larger vise on my Sieg X3 mill. About the largest one that'll fit is the 5-inch model. However, there's a lot of overhang and the mounting flanges only fit in the edge-most t-slot, and don't provide much anti-rotation prevention. I machined some grabber-blocks to pin the forward edge of the vise base to the table. Yes, could've used standard strap clamps with step blocks, but I didn't want to chew up too much space on the deck. Besides, once trammed-in, I'm not likely to be moving it a bunch.Note that the casting isn't the greatest, and I found that one side was 0.040 taller than the other. I removed some material from the vise to make both sides the same rather than make two different sized clamps (which would have worked fine too.) Measure your vise edge height and adjust the 0.650 dimension accordingly. These clamps are dimensioned for 3/8-16 studs/bolts.
