The upper nut for adjusting the height is best fixed with Loctite, then you can fit a ratchet with a 13 mm socket and adjust the height. To mill out the wooden plate, use the "Cover plateM10.stl" and a flush milling cutter. Then use "TemplateTableInlet.stl" to mill an edge groove where the milling plate can then be inserted. The linear shaft can then be inserted into the relatively narrow holes using the M8 screws. Should work well with PLA-CF or PETG-CF. Some of the links are Amazon affiliate links.
