Milwaukee M18 Circular Saw Sled

Milwaukee M18 Circular Saw Sled

This is a remix of Fperras very well designed Harbor Freight Track Saw sled. It fits snugly over the cheap 20 dollar harbor freight clamping straight edge. Your saw sits inside of it and so long as your straight edge is clamped correctly (use a speed square to verify) you simply push the saw along the clamp edge like a track saw. The contained .STL file is one I designed from scratch in Fusion 360 based on Fperras original design to fit my Milwaukee 2631 M-18 Cordless circular saw. It will probably work with other Milwaukee cordless saws as well (hopefully the others don't have the weird bevel in the front of the saw shoe like this one does). Future improvements may be an insert for a mounting rod (as the Milwaukee has a knob in the front left corner that can be used to attach to square rods to lock the saw in) however, it fits snug enough I haven't had the need. For those who don't want to spend a small fortune on a Festool or Makita track saw; well.. this isn't that (as if your edges aren't straight, clamping the straight edge straight is a challenge, at least for a beginner like me). However far and away will this give you greater cuts than trying to do it by hand or with a straight edge (holding the saw against it).
