Die Mimose (Mimosa pudica), auch Schamhafte Sinnpflanze genannt, ist eine tropische Pflanzenart in der Unterfamilie der Mimosengewächse (Mimosoideae) innerhalb der Familie der Hülsenfrüchtler (Fabaceae). Oft werden auch als Ziergehölze kultivierte Akazien (Acacia) wie z. B. Acacia dealbata als „Mimosen“ bezeichnet.
