I really wanted to print the original design, but unfortunately, it was too small for my printer's capabilities with supports. To compensate, I removed the central axis as thoroughly as possible without undergoing a major redesign. Some stumps still remain on the parts, though many slicers allow you to separate shells, which is exactly what you'll need to do in order to reorient the pieces. Unfortunately, I haven't tried this myself yet. Post-Printing After printing, you may want to sand down any remaining stumps that are left over. Honestly, I'm not sure how they might affect articulation. How I Designed This I created this model using 123d Design. If you'd like to modify it yourself, I can post the file for you.
