Make a crossbow! A mini crossbow. Parts were made using the Shapeoko CNC router. No reason you could not 3D print the parts of this mini crossbow. Watch on youtube how it was made here https://youtu.be/wztowGZpJbc Cad/Cam Fusion 360 This was just a fun project to see how a bamboo crossbow would work and if it could be made on the Shapeoko. The body, I could not make much bigger. Had to mill it at 45deg to fit it on the table. The body was milled using Fusion 360's 3D adaptive routine and using just a flat end mill. The adaptive routine cuts to a depth of 2mm to remove large amount of stock then goes back and does fine contour cuts every 0.2mm to make the rounded corners. I didnt finish it more then this. Just some sanding. I added the writing to one side of the crossbow on the stock. It was milled using Fusion 360 3D parallel routine. I should have left more stock for this process but i didnt leave any stock from the 3d adaptive process. You can see the top of the adaptive process in the writing. The bow was made of bamboo and not held down firm enough. The bamboo was very springy. It was also not nice to cut with an end mill. Its very stringy. had a lot of sanding after it was cut to finish the form. The original Fusion 360 file can be accessed here https://a360.co/2MFfoSr
