I honestly cannot comment on the efficacy of this device. I can only say the case fits fine. As for the expansion board's function and usefulness, I've barely used it at all. This is just something someone requested so I ordered the thing and made the modification to the Mini Desktop Case to make it fit. If it does work, it's a pretty cool little thing... but I find it curious that the brand name and description on Amazon keeps changing, the listing I ordered it from has been deleted. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082CVWH3R/ref=cm_sw_su_dp That's the most current listing I could find. It's basically an expansion board with space for two 18650 rechargeable batteries to power the Pi. There seems to be much debate in the Amazon listing review whether this thing really constitutes a UPS, but the company that makes it calls it a UPS, so whatever. There are USB ports on the expansion board, but they are just for power. They do not connect to the Pi's data bus. I guess you can use it to charge your phone off of the batteries. It also adds a power button on the HDMI port side below the Pi's PCB. It has a 4 charge status LEDs below the Pi's SD card slot. Each LED = 25% battery charge. That's something, I guess. Beyond all that, I'm not really sure what a use case scenario for this item would be. Your Pi can keep running for some amount of time after the rest of the power in your house goes out??? Oh well. The case works fine. I did my job. The 40 x 8p5 spacer is intended to be used on the heatsink. The 40 x 10p5 spacer is intended to be used on the secondary fan. The case is intended to be assembled with 12 countersunk m3 x 8mm screws. https://www.fastenal.com/products/details/XM2510008A20000 The structure part is intended to be attached to the Ice Tower Cooler and Raspberry with m2.5 x 6mm screws. https://www.fastenal.com/products/details/QM2490006A20000 The secondary fan is intended to be attached to the duct with m3 x 22mm screws. https://www.fastenal.com/products/details/0141697 The spacer on the heatsink fan is intended to be attached with m3 x 16mm screws https://www.fastenal.com/products/details/QM2510016A20000 But the GeeekPi fans come with m3 x 16mm screws that aren't useful for any other part of this build, so if you buy those fans, don't bother getting more 16mm screws.
