I caught a glaring mistake in my earlier designs, failing to offset the gear teeth, which essentially forced two teeth into each gap. I corrected this error by designing a new layout and removing excess slop. I also reverted back to using filament shafts, which are less prone to slipping out of the vertex pieces. The outcome is a much smoother performance compared to my previous iterations.
