Mini-Maker

Mini-Maker

thingiverse

I am proud to announce that my MakerBot has given birth to a bouncing 44 gram, 7 cm mini-maker. This is a 3D mini-MakerBot replica. Included is a family portrait with the proud parent. The Google SketchUp file contains the parts at both full size and scaled to 0.2 to fit the MakerBot print platform. Instructions The three components are printed separately to avoid undoable overhangs. The parts have notches so that they stay centered. This also allowed me to print the body of the mini-maker blue and the plastruder white. I simulated the heater / nozzle with a short piece of a round toothpick pushed into the 2mm square hole printed into the bottom of the insulator barrel. (Yes: I pushed a round peg into a square hole) Note the counter sunk holes and bolts thru the build platform to give a larger usable build area. This also eliminates the risk of smashing the nozzle into the socket heads and breaking something in the plastruder.
