<p>This is a 3D printable model for a peristaltic (aka hose) pump for either 3mm or 4mm silicone hoses operated with the popular and cheap 28BYJ-48 stepper motor. The motor is usually sold with a fitting driver shield and there are various libraries available, which makes this pump very easy to integrate in any Arduino project. &nbsp;Due to the stepper motor this pump able to very accurately control the delivered volume, which makes it perfect for any kind of dosing application like plant water / fertiliser etc. Peristalic pumps are also very resistent against my kinds of nasty media &nbsp;due to the silicone hoses.</p><p>The print should be done with a 0.25mm nozzle and 0.1…0.15 mm layer height due to the small details and quite close tolerances.&nbsp;</p><p>In case you encounter some printing problems like shown on the last picture, this is because the previous layer had not enough time to cure or cool down respectively properly, before the next layer comes. In such a case simply reduce the print speed during printing or increase the minimum time per layer in the printer settings. Material was Prusament PETG for me.</p><p>There is a variant for 3mm and 4mm (outer diameter) silicone tubes. Make sure you print the corresponding rotor and housing parts. You don't need to print the stepper motor or the assembly, I just added them for information. :-)</p><p>I also provided the Autodesk Fusion 360 files for direct import and modification.</p><p>To complete the pump you will need the following parts:</p><ul><li>1x 28BYJ-48 stepper motor (with the driver shield)</li><li>3 or 4mm silicone hose, minimum 10cm length</li><li>4x Ruthex M3 thread inserts (RX-M3x5.7), the ones to melt in with a soldering iron (works perfectly with PETG, but PLA tends to melt a bit to quick)</li><li>3x 3mm (inner diameter) x 8mm (outer diameter) x 4mm (height) roller bearings</li><li>2x M3x6 screws</li><li>2x M3x18 screws</li><li>Alternatively you can als use 2 more thread inserts and put one in each end of the long through hole. This way you can leave away the longer screws and nuts and use 4 short screws instead.&nbsp;</li></ul>
