This is first version, I did it after having some problems with filament made from Filament Extruder of my (designed by Sr. Hugh Lyman) My goals: It solves two major problems (in my opinion): 1. Extrusion speed of filament is too slow (about <20”/per minute). 2. Water bubbles exist in filament fiber (plastic pellets is always moist water ,slightly wet) The second reason makes bubbles on fiber, it appears on: extruding high speed or high temperature (from 190°C to 195°C). Can not extrusion high speed while using low temperatures: about 175°C -185°C, this case I called unripe extrusion, Plastic fibers are hard, slightly grainy if we look carefully. (Plastic tested: ABS, TPU) Results after drying: - Extrusion speed has increased, in my extruder machine is > 60”/per minute (maximum in my extruder, I think that there may be higher) - Filament fiber: slick, smooth and especially no bubbles. An important, all thing above is only my personal opinion, I hope and I will listen to the opinions of people, thanks. Below is detailed of the mini dryer : . Heat band: 250w, Φ30mm x L. 60mm . Drying temperature: 100-125°C . Drying time: 30’-45’ . Capacity: 1 kg plastic . Dimension: W.150mm x L.160mm x H.300mm Cost about: 100usd Video link: https://youtu.be/63xcl10QMIM I hope it will be useful for someone By: Thong NguyetViet
