Mini Power Supply (DPS3003 and Laptop Supply)

<p>Case to house a <a href="https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32685187020.html">Rui Deng DPS3003</a> and a Sony Vaio laptop power supply (model 101310-11) which I happened to have on hand. I wanted something without any mains internal wiring. The laptop power brick puts out 19.5V up to 2A so perfect for small projects at 12/5/3.3V.</p> <p>This case is very specific to the Sony laptop power supply as it was designed to allow it to slot in without fixings and then be held in place. There is a cutout for the mains cable to plugin on the side directly into the supply. The laptop supply is a shielded type cable, so you need to get a little creative hooking it up. Otherwise very straight forward. The to assemble you will need brass hot press inserts for the top of the case (up to 6mm deep but shorter works as well) and 6 x M3x40mm screws. You'll want some screw terminals as well this cases was designed for <a href="https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32871901542.html">these ones</a>. A bit of wire, crimps connectors and ferrules and you're good to go.</p> <p>The little hole on the rear of the case is so you can see the power supplies LED when it is on. I inserted a piece of clear Nylon filament to act as a light pipe and glued it in place. This is of course optional.</p> </li> </ul> Category: Electronics
