Mini RC Servo Tank

Mini RC Servo Tank

This is a mini RC tank that I built. I wanted to try making a tank that drove using teeth on 3D printed flexible tracks and a drive wheel with holes in it. For drive, it uses continuous rotation 9 gram servos. This is a little bit irresponsible, as the servos get warm after you drive it for a little while. Its not really a huge problem, it still drives great. If you use a small battery, there is plenty of space for some type of payload. I used it with a panning FPV camera. It is capable of driving straight on top of snow, however the motors I used were not powerful enough turn it in the snow. Because the rear wheels are circles, it does roll over backwards when attempting to drive over obstacles to high for it. The battery lasts a long time if you use a 450 milliamp hour 2-cell, and even longer if you use an 800 mah 2s. I'm looking into building a slightly larger, more powerful version with gear Motors. The tracks were printed in a flexible filament that is not very stretchy. I just used a generic one from Amazon. If you used something like ninjaflex, you might get more grip on smooth surfaces. Print two of each roller file.
