Mini Reapers Soft Plastic Fishing Mold

This is a mold for making small Mini Reaper Style soft plastic fishing lures. The finished baits are a little less than 4" long. Molds have a standard 5/8" (.64") injection port. This is a 3D printed plastic mold so you have to be careful with your temps and injection pressure. I printed this mold in PLA+ and try to inject my Plastisol at or around 300°. (I use Dead On Plastix's brand of Plastisol) You also need to use very little pressure on the injector when shooting these types of mold. If you use a lot of pressure when injecting a 3D printed Mold... you can/will blow through the mold. Start light and work up with the pressure if you do not get a full injection or you have bubbles. It's better to have a misformed bait or two than ruin the mold. As I bonus I have included the files for the master mold box I use for making the jig heads. Both mold haves of the Jig Head mold can be printed in a 4.5" x 4.25" bed area and each mold half requires about 1.9 oz of silicone to fill. The actual molds are poured from Mold Max 60 silicone and fit Size 2 Mustad 32756 Classic Aberdeen 90-Degree Bend Extra Strong Short Shank Jig Hooks. The bait keepers are bent from .031 safety wire.
