This is my take on a servo mount for the Hackfab oval chassis. I had a fancy metal gear submicro servo on there which fit easily and worked great until the third battery when a collision with another car stripped out the gears. I should have had a servo saver on it, even with all steel gears, lesson learned. Rather than pay $$ for new gears on that servo I looked in my parts bin to find a 1/12 scale Futaba s9650 from another project. I used a Kimbrough small servo saver, cut down for clearance. The servo is angled 10deg back and mounted with m2.5 screws which give some up an down adjustment for clearance. Captured m2 nylock nuts in the base use longer screws in the stock location, no modifications made to any of the hackfab or stock losi parts. Gets full wheel throw in both directions without binding, should be plenty strong and durable. Adds about 15g of weight. The mount pictured is printed in pet-g 3 shells 25% infill. This will not work on a stock chassis as it hits the mudguard and is too tall to fit the buggy body and too long to clear the truck battery mount. Edit: Added a second file with some material removed to prevent interference with the mud guards, so it should fit a mini-B chassis for Truggy conversions.
