This is a twin motor mount design inspired by the Mini Talon twin motor conversion originally posted by Markqv. I changed the design a little so the motor is covered by a cowling and a 38mm spinner can be used to cover the pods. This makes the motor mounts look and feel a bit more aerodynamic. I don't know if it will make any difference in performance since the Mini Talons flight speed is rather slow. The setup I used consists of 2 Turnigy D2830/11 1000Kv motors turning a 7x7" propeller powered by a 3cell Lipo or a 4 cell 18650 Liion battery pack. I also removed the spar which in Markqv`s design went trough the wing, instead I glued the mounts to the wing using D4 PU construction glue, a link can be found below. Additionally I added a cooling inlet duct on the front bottom of the motor mount and a cooling outlet duct on the rear top side of the motormounts, these ducts allow sufficient aiflow trough the motormounts to keep the motors cool. The motors are mounted to the pods by using M3x5x5 brass inserts which are available on banggood and aliexpress, links to the used parts can be found on the bottom of this description. I printed the motormounts using Fillamentum Vertigo gray fillament, the metallic looks of the fillament make them look great together with the 38mm aluminium spinners. To my surprise the Vertigo grey fillament handles really well and doesn't need any special attention when printing, A screenshot of my cura settings can be found in the attached photo`s. ####Links to the used products: #####Fillamentum Vertigo grey fillament: https://fillamentum.com/products/pla-extrafill-vertigo-grey #####Brass M3x5x5 inserts: https://www.banggood.com/100pcs-M3x5x5mm-Metric-Threaded-Brass-Knurl-Round-Insert-Nuts-p-1050182.html?rmmds=buy #####D4 PU construction glue: https://www.bison.nl/nl/product.305 #####Turnigy D2830/11 100Kv motors: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/d2830-11-1000kv-brushless-motor.html #####38mm aluminium spinner: Any 38mm spinner will do, I used some Robbe precision spinners I had laying around. Hobbyking or your local hobbystore will sell them. Just make sure they support a 3.2 or 3.17mm axles to fit the D2830/11 motors. ####Thanks to Markqv for the original idea to turn this pusher into a twin! ####And please post your builds!! ###Changelog### - V1.1 The holes for the wires are slightly enlarged to fit motors where the first part of the wires is to stiff to bend around the edge directly.
