Mini-z PVC DIY race track

We needed(!) a mini-z track at work to satisfy our need of racing every week and the real track is too far away, so we made our own. We had som carpet lying around and just bought some 16mm PVC-pipe for electrical installation and printed the corners and connections that we needed. The first version you find in the picture. It was to technical but still very fun. We tried to use some 3M dual lock to get the pipes to stick to the surface. It worked but not so good when banging into the walls all the time, due to our bad driving skills. What was much better was the type of velcro you use for cables in network stands. We glued this to the plastic brackets and it sticks actually quite good! The track is about 4.2m long and 2m wide. There´s 2 versions of the track. Version 1 is the one we tested and realized we wanted more speed and better flow, and that´s were version 2 was born. Version 2 is not tested yet, but will be this week. The larger rounded corners is not printed. They are bent with the normal pvc-pipe tool a electrician use(you find it cheap at Biltema in sweden and probably in any hardware store). The cost of pipe is about 1EUR/3m pipe, so it´s quite cheap! Enjoy!
