This is a miniature monster truck that has been 100% 3D printed. It has four sets of working wheels and suspension, the suspension travel is about 20mm. The monster truck was printed in 30 separate parts and took over 100 hours of printing time! All the parts were made from ABS except for the orange wheel covers which were made from NinjaFlex, these covers took 10 hours each and aren’t strictly necessary but they do add a rubbery feel to the wheels and increase traction. More of my models are available at www.trinpy.com All the parts have been made to clip together so that no glue or other joining method is necessary. However this model was sealed with and ABS and acetone slurry to get the smooth shiny finish and cover the gaps on the monster truck body. Then the whole truck was placed in an acetone bath to get a smooth finish all over. The body was printed in three separate parts as the whole truck is much to large to print on a standard desktop printer. The wheels slip onto the suspension linkage as do the springs, then the wheels are attached with the round clips included in the zip file. Then the suspension assembly slides up into the body of the truck and once you hear the ‘click’ means it is assembled and ready to rock! Print Settings Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: Medium Infill: 10-20% Notes: This model was printed using ABS (apart from the NinjaFlex orange wheel covers) and were printed using 2 layers and 10% infill. The suspension linkage arms wee printed with 20% infill for extra strength (or 3 layers with 10% infill). More of my models are available at www.trinpy.com Post-Printing
