Miniature Airbrushing Stand Using Soda Bottle Caps

Miniature Airbrushing Stand Using Soda Bottle Caps

thingiverse

I was spray priming a bunch of miniatures the other day, using blu-tac to hold the minis to the painting stand. I found it just a bit annoying trying to remove the minis from the stand without marring the fresh primer. So I swiped a few 20 oz soda bottle caps from my cat and stuck the mini bases to the cap and the cap to the painting stand. After that, I decided to remix the paint stand so that the bottle caps would just thread on and thus could be easily switched without having to touch the freshly primed mini. This stand does that, while retaining the attributes I really like about the original: a long handle to keep my hands from getting sprayed, and a wide base to keep it from getting knocked over. The threads are a little rough. If that bothers you, a little sandpaper should clean them right up. Reposting because this didn't appear in my list of designs.
