This is a 50mm by 50mm base for the translucent Reaper Miniatures. The size allows for a small sewable CR2032 holder (Adafruit) to be installed under the base, along with a switch. The holes are for the small wiring that connects a basic LED sticker (chibitronics) or sequin (Adafruit) to the battery without much fuss. I prefer the sewable wiring from Adafruit. The wiring/LED on the top/outside of the base can then be gently sealed from moisture/paint with a thin coat of hot glue. Take your translucent miniature and gently glue it on top of the small LED. Seal around the edges of the miniature with more hot glue. If you are gentle enough, you can disguise the hot glue as part of the base texturing. Utilizing an "effects" sticker from chibitronics allows for easy enhancement of the leds. I usually glue the effects sticker to the top of the battery case and then glue all that inside the base after pulling the wiring through the holes. Hot glue doesn't really damage these simple parts at all, and the battery doesn't produce enough heat to make using hot glue an issue.
