Miniature Holder for Painting Miniatures (2 versions)

thingiverse

This is a stand to hold miniatures while painting. There are two versions: one is designed to mount on top of a wooden spool from Hobby Lobby (or other suitable block). The other is designed to screw onto the top of a standard 500ml bottle (I believe 2 liter bottles will work as well). I remixed the bottle neck and bottle cap portions from other Thingiverse models (see Remix Section for details). The basic parts go together without glue, and the bar is designed such that the collar and bar will rotate around the base as needed to help steady your hand. If you want to use bottle caps to hold the model, there is an optional bottle neck model (which DOES require gluing) which can be placed on top of the base. Miniatures can then be placed on bottle caps and screwed into place for painting, then removed (and another model added) while the paint dries. This allows the painter to have multiple models under paint, with only one painting stand needed.
