I found this nice modification by Ziddiccan, but the tolerances to slide the elastic band holders was too tight. So I remodeled it all in Fusion 360 but kept the main geometry. I separated the parts to avoid snapping the handle off like I did the first time, and introduced a sleeve for it to plug into, and a hole to screw it down if you feel like it. I thinned out the elastic band holder prongs to allow a long rectangular base model to go in sideways without hitting the elastic bands. I also put in some tapers to the base grips, to prevent the model from popping out too easily.
