I printed 50 of DesignMakeTeach's version to send to friends! Got real tired of the X-acto cleanup, so I made my own version by rebuilding in Solidworks and tweaking to get it to print very cleanly on my Printrbot Simple. I found the best print to be with a brim, although a raft works well too but take a little longer to print, vs a little bit more time trimming off the brim. Filament used is MeltInk's magenta PLA, which is available on Amazon.com for a reasonable price. Built in Solidworks 2016, other 3D formats included if you want to make your own sign icons. Print Settings Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Simple White Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 layer height, .4mm nozzle Infill: 100% Notes: Recommend 205 degrees for MeltInk. Brim worked best, just pull out the support inside the hat with a needle-nosed pliers. Raft also works fine, but uses more plastic. If you have good first-layer adhesion, no brim or raft needed. The hats have the support built into the file, no other support is needed. Should break off easily and leave a clean fit. Try just the hat and scale to dial in the fit for your own printer.
