Let me start with my disclaimers: * _wear eye protection when working with power tools!_ * This is not designed to be particularly strong or provide any protection beyond dust. You assume all responsibility if you print it and swap out the protective equipment that comes with the sander. I've got a WEN 6515T belt sander - 1x30" with a 5" disc sander on the other side of the motor. This same sander is available under a bunch of different brand names which I won't bother to list because there are a bunch out there and they're all obviously the same. The stock top cover comes down a bit too much for my liking, covering a good portion of the unsupported bit of the belt, which I use for less precise sanding tasks. Taking it off is an option but then I'm looking straight down the top run of the belt, so anything that sticks to the belt might come off and head right for my face which is not so good. (thankfully, I _always_ wear eye protection, at least that's what I'll say) So, I'd like to have some form of a top cover that doesn't cover up a bunch of the belt that I want to use, and that's where this part comes in. Simply swap out the stock cover for this and it opens up a bunch more sandable area. Once you've swapped out the stock cover, you can convert it into a small Daft Punk helmet.
