Minimalist Blackboard NFC/Mag Reader

The intent behind this Blackboard NFC/Mag reader was to offer the end user with a hassle-free experience wrapped up in a minimalistic, modern looking package. The unit was designed to be highly portable. The design allows for mounting the unit to be mounted onto an angled stand or onto a wall (not shown). The unit may also be easily removed and be placed on a flat surface or used as a hand held device. The unit may be charged through the use of the USB connector port at the bottom of the device. An LED on the front face of the device provides users with feedback as to whether an entry was accepted or denied. Battery life, power status, and bluetooth status are indicated using LEDs on the side of the device. Moving these indicators to the side of the device allowed for a more modern and minimalistic look. Power is indicated by a green LED. Battery status is indicated as following: Green: 100-50& Amber: 50-25% Red: 25-0% Bluetooth status is indicated through the use of a blue LED indicator. All components can be easily manufactured using plastic injection molding. The angled stand may require a small amounting of machining.
