Minimalist Lamp

A sleek, compact lamp engineered specifically for LED light bulbs. Please refrain from using this with anything other than low-heat LED bulbs, as it was not designed to handle incandescent lighting. I required a small light source that I could place on the bookshelf behind my reading chair to house a Phillips Hue Bulb. For a week straight now, I've had this powered on at maximum brightness, and both the base and shade temperatures are only slightly higher than room temperature. I am confident in making this available for public use with a disclaimer: please only use low-heat bulbs. The base will print very cleanly with only supports needed for the small cup. Print this piece with the large cavity facing upwards and the small socket downwards. I used ABS at 70% infill without any issues with the overall balance of the lamp. The bottom cap prints with the same material as the base, featuring a simple design. For me, it's a friction fit, requiring no glue. The top shade was printed using clear polycarb due to its availability in my collection. I'd be comfortable using ABS for this part as well. My settings included 0% infill, 4 solid bottom layers (for the top of the shade), and 1 perimeter. Additionally, I increased the extrusion multiplier by 5% to achieve a softer, textured appearance. I sourced the lamp socket from a spare gooseneck lamp, which appears to be identical to: this one on Amazon.
