Here's the protection for my minimOSD module using vertical pins: straightforward stuff. However, you have to realize not all minimOSDs share identical dimensions, so get those measurements in beforehand! As for me, I added a piece of clear plastic on the inside and sealed it down with tape, giving me an unobstructed view cap.
